A voice Lifted in song to the Lord is the most beautiful instrument of His creation. The human voice is a miracle of God and can mirror the soul as no other instrument can. It is Lee Ann's hope that through music, you will hear the testimony of her soul.
To be brought up in a Christian home, and to be introduced to Christ as a child and accept Him as savior, is the most wonderful testimony anyone can give. 'For me, it seems that I have always known Christ. Knowing Him so early in my life has made my faith strong and nothing can shake my assurance. I want that same assurance for my own children! I want to give my children the gift of Christ. For with this gift, they will have all they will ever need
Lee Ann's love of music was apparent at an early age. The soundtrack 'The Sound of Music' was played until the scratches on the recording made it impossible to hear. She took piano lessons from the neighborhood piano teacher and was involved in the band program at school. Lee Ann found her love of christian music in her church youth choir and in that same youth choir she found what it meant to make Jesus Lord of her life.
The Lord called Lee Ann into the ministry at age 15, but it was several years before she accepted the call at age 18 ('The Lord kept knocking, until I answered'!). She received her degree in music from Shorter College in Rome, Georgia in 1984. Since then Lee Ann has had a small local part-time ministry, but God had given hear a vision of something more.
Lee Ann now serves full-time in her ministry. A new, exciting addition to her ministry is private vocal instruction and group vocal coaching. She helps lay-ministers in area churches realize their potential and offers them some much needed advice when they are traveling down roads she has already traveled. 'God has given me the spiritual gifts of mercy, exhortation, and teaching. It is just now becoming clear to me what he would have me do with them. Because I have had to go it alone, I know what it means to have someone help you along the way. They are all more than just students to me. I love each and everyone of them!'
With the addition of their first child, Alaina, Lee Ann, and her husband Ricky, now have a very full life. As I travel from church to church, serving as God would have me to, I see His hand in the preparation of my family to minister with me. As the bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 'I have plans for you, declares the Lord!' God is at work and we are excited about the future He has for us. |
